Jerusalem has achieved great success in the 13 years of its existance, and thousands
of people throughout Israel owe their lives to the emergency treatment they received
from the Hatzolah Jerusalem volunteers. As Hatzolah Jerusalem continues to grow,
it aims to provide even better reponse to medical emergencies and to provide a
wider range of medical emergency related services.
The following
partial list of desired acquisitions will help Hatzolah Jerusalem meet its goals
to better serve the people of Israel:
- The purchase
of Ambulances- to respond to medical emergencies, to transfer injured persons
to hospitals, to provide transportation for patients who can not afford private
ambulance service, to be on stand-by alert at public events with large crowds
and to be used on Shabbat and Festivals to respond to medical emergencies.
Budget required: $62,000. Annual
maintenance cost: $10,000
- Mobile Teaching
Unit: Vehicle to be equipped with special training and educational facilities
to be used to offer courses ranging from basic first-aid techniques to advanced
courses for qualified paramedics.
Budget required: $24,000. Annual
maintenance cost: $6,000.
- Acquisition
of equipment for resuscitation, training equipment for first-aid programs
and additional pagers and two-way radios for communication with volunteers.
Budget required: $150,000 - $250,000.
