Atticus
Submitted
by Richard Brandt
Who
can forget Gregory Peck as the noble Southern lawyer Atticus
Finch in TO KILL A MOCKINGBIRD? Who can forget Al Pacino
in DOG DAY AFTERNOON screaming 'Atticus! Atticus!' Or
something like that, anyway. Choose a name that people
will remember! Go with Atticus!

Locat
Submitted by Karen Davis
I
chose "Locat" as my name for the @ sign because it's short,
snappy, easy to pronounce and remember and incorporates
the idea of locating information. |

Attila
the @
Submitted by Cynthia Kimball
@
needs a strong name: a name of power; a name of distinction.
Name him Attila! Attila carries the feeling of strength,
power, and agility. Able to leap from e-mail to e-mail with
a bound. Is he a bird? Is he a cat? NO! He's Attila the
@! |

Atty
Submitted

Geesey
Atty,
Atty that's the name! It's the name @'s been looking for
all this time. He doesn't have to look any further. It's
a name little @ can be proud to have. He can stop his sometimes
dangerous search and go back to the keyboard to live a happy
meaningful life. |

Attaboy
Submitted by Paulina Dawn Bradley
I
decided to name the symbol "Attaboy" because my husband
is in the military. In the military as in the "civilian"
world, an attaboy is something positive. If you do something
good/positive you are given an attaboy. Hopefully when other
people hear the word attaboy they will think positive. |

Skwiggle
Submitted by Gregg Lee Hendley
For
decades, the unnamed "@" lived in humble anonymity nudged
between the vastly more popular pound sign and exclamation
point, but not anymore. With the birth of the Internet and
the explosion of e-mail, the "skwiggle" is now the king
of all keyboard characters. Hail to the king, baby. |

Ataround
Submitted
by Mark Eudey
The
@ symbol in a note means at/around; not something precise.
Moreover, the name describes the geometry perfectly. Being
eight letters, it suits the many users of older systems
requiring eight-letter file names. It is catchy, and rolls
smoothly off the tongue. Vote ataround: The only logical
choice! |

Arty
Submitted
by Joi Lynn Wilson
"Arty"
the informative little @ sign. He can lead you places that
you have never been before. He can show you sites and information
that will leave you wondering, how did Arty know all that.
Arty is the center of FUN! Arty is the information pipe
line in cyber space. |
